What is the difference between PMS and PMDD?

In this episode I'm chatting to you about what PMS is, what PMDD isn't and how there's an intersect between what we deem as normal, not normal and how that relates to the way the cycle works.

listen below

In this episode I’m discussing the differences between PMS (premenstrual syndrome) and PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder). As much as it’s easy to describe PMDD as a severe form of PMS, I also talk about why this might not be a helpful comparison to make. I also touch on the work of Maisie Hill and why she hasn’t been diagnosed with PMDD even though she believes she is ticking several of the boxes.

I’m walking you through my personal experience of PMDD including the premenstrual anxiety and how it’s affected my life. I’m also sharing how I’ve managed to keep my PMDD under control and showing you how you can do it too.

the menstrual cycle quiz

Each phase of your menstrual cycle can tell you something different about yourself. Not sure what phase you’re in?

I think what you do it so helpful and important. I wish I’d known more about my cycle in my twenties. Well bloody done!
